Position Overview

Spiro is hiring a Business Analyst to join our IT team. The Business Analyst works in partnership with the IT team and various other departments, delivering best-in-class service. The Business Analyst (BA) will provide fundamental task and action management and coordination across a wide variety of application projects and initiatives. The role is required to work with all disciplines within the global technology development and business teams to provide support, resource identification, documentation of tasks and actions, keep records and reports relative to ongoing projects, organize meetings, and other support, as needed. The role also coordinates project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately.

Responsibilities



  • Work with global business, IT, and leaders to gather requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Coordinates with project teams to understand business needs and work with technical teams to coordinate project deliverables.
  • Coordinates and works on multiple cross-functional base work initiatives and projects.
  • Create, maintain, and manage detailed project plans to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Coordinates in short- and long-term project efforts with stakeholders and IT groups.
  • Partner with peers, internal customers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and constraints.
  • Create training material as needed.
  • Function as a focal point for Business Analysis and project communication and status throughout weekly and monthly reports to the IT director and other department members as needed.
  • Prepare status reporting on a periodic basis for review by others within the company.
  • Writes and/or maintains certain technical documentation for project-related requirements.
  • Manage application service and enhancement requests from users.
  • Occasional travel to remote sites for technology projects or support responsibilities.
  • Implementation support of all critical applications


Requirements

  • Odoo.com experience required with a focus on inventory and sales modules
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience required.
  • Understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Data analysis skills preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with multiple application solutions and products utilizing
  • web/mobile, including operational or analytics dashboards.
  • Understanding of workflow, collaboration tools, integration with systems preferred.
  • Occasional travel to meet with stakeholders and production site.

How to measure success



  • By 30 days understand key systems and team members.
  • By 60 days understand Jira and RFC process and be able to enter in an RFC and Submit to Review Board.
  • By 90 days understand our methodology and apply it to a new project and attend a Spiro event.
