Tyler Coupling, a division of McWane LLC., is seeking a Staff Accountant to work at the Marshfield, MO location. The Staff Accountant will assist in the accounting functions of the plant as well as assist the Plant Controller. Job Description
  • Prepare and post journal entries as needed
  • Review general ledger accounts
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts including cash accounts
  • Assist the Controller in month-end closing procedures as needed
  • Assist in all internal and external audits
  • Prepare and maintain procedure and standard work documentation for the department for Controller review/approval.
  • Process and review accounts payable as backup support
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports as needed
  • Investigate questionable data
  • Assist with Sales and Use Tax Reporting quarterly/annually
  • Assist with year end tax and audit schedules
  • Assist with 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC form preparation and filing annually.
  • Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance. In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of proven experience will be considered
  • 3-5 years accounting or business-related experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Understanding of Financial Statements, Journal Entries, and GAAP
  • Self-starter with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to change
