Job Description:

Adolfson and Peterson Construction is currently hiring for an Insurance and Risk Analyst. This role will support the delivery of insurance, surety, and risk management services for projects, regions, and the company. This role is based out of the Corporate office in Bloomington and can work a hybrid schedule following onboarding.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
  • Support the annual insurance renewal process through.
    • Track the renewal process and assignments to confirm renewal information is submitted on time.
    • Collect renewal exposure date and complete applications, as assigned
    • Review and update the annual certificate of insurance list for broker.
    • Track receipt and review of renewal policies for accuracy.
    • Collect and confirm accuracy of all renewal billing information and provide to accounting team.
    • Create summary documents for auditors regarding renewal policies.
  • Administer project support.
    • Support Sr. Insurance and Risk Analyst, as assigned:
    • Process and organize project overview documentation
    • Submit request for builder's risk and bond quotes to broker
    • Issue certificate of insurance
    • Support Risk Manager in prequalification process.
    • Process SDI enrollments and review Subcontractor Risk Assessments as assigned by Risk Manager.
    • Review quarterly enrollment reports for accuracy.
    • Review subcontractor certificates of insurance for accuracy as required.
    • Review and approve requested changes to the subcontractor insurance terms as assigned by Sr. Insurance and Risk Analyst.
  • Manage and oversee claims as assigned, including auto physical damage, equipment and workers compensation
    • Develop and pull claims reports from various systems as needed.
    • Review and approve monthly loss reimbursement invoices to carriers.
    • Track and report auto claim statistics to Human Resources to support the annual review of drivers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, business administration, finance, insurance, or related discipline and 2+ years of experience within the A/E/C industry and/or insurance industry or the equivalent of education and relevant experience.
  • Pursuit of or willing to pursue continuing insurance education through the CRIS, ARM or CPCU or similar designations.
  • Commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze data.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful and lasting relationships.

Estimated Pay:

$61,500.00 - $91,500.00
