YOUR MISSION

The position of Analyst Foreign Trade Zone provides general administrative support including data entry to specialized software designed to track inventory within the Foreign Trade Zone. Applicant will be responsible for review of inbound import documentation and daily maintenance of data flowing through the Foreign Trade Zone software. Applicant is responsible for resolution of any discrepancies between documentation, the zone software and in house inventory system. Applicant will be responsible for FTZ daily, weekly and monthly reporting as required by US Customs.

  • Liaise with Traffic, Warehouse and Order Management departments to monitor incoming imports and expedite in bond movement of freight to the FTZ
  • Reviews commercial shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance with Customs requirements
  • Audit FTZ admittances in the zone software by cross checking shipping documentation and warehouse receipts, complete error resolution reports, correct discrepancies, and confirm any needed corrections take place in the ERP system
  • Timely filing of weekly and periodic reports (214's, 3461's, 7501's, 7512's...etc) as required by US Customs and Foreign Trade Zone Board
  • Organize and maintain all required documents for Customs prescribed record keeping requirements
  • Data analysis / special projects as needed.
YOUR TALENT
  • High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working in import/export environment preferred; prior FTZ experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of inventory controls in a high-volume distribution center.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Detail oriented, organized and efficient
  • Self-starter with ability to solve problems and deliver required results with minimal supervision.
  • Operate Microsoft Office applications, including basic Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Able to occasionally work extended hours or weekends depending on project needs and seasonal demands.
  • Knowledge of business, accounting, and/or import concepts and strong mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge of US Harmonized Tariff System and US Customs regulations preferred.
  • Foreign Trade Zone, Customs Brokerage, Logistics, or Inventory experience is helpful.
  • Must be able to pass a US Customs background check.

The hiring range base pay for this position is $47,200-$62,765 + Bonus + Benefits
