Overview

Department 425 Electrical Systems Software and Cybersecurity requires an Administrative Aide to support daily office operations. Applicant must possess a high degree of professionalism, be able to maintain confidentiality with all business & personnel matters, and be capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Applicant must be able to support time-critical assignments and interface with all levels of management throughout the facility.

Job assignments include, but are not limited to the following:

    Create, format and issue technical correspondences to internal and outside organizations based on department employee input
  • Maintain electronic and hard copies of department files
  • Arrange business travel and generate expense reports
  • Arrange meetings and manage conference rooms
  • Prepare IT service requests, computer system access requests, and communication work orders
  • Manage department facility maintenance and information technology requests and supplies
  • Manage department organizational charts, seating, employee databases and evacuation plans


Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4-8 years of Administrative/Secretarial experience in an office setting
  • Typing proficiency of at least 45 Words Per Minute (WPM)
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Concur Travel
  • Knowledge of Electric Boat correspondence formatting


Skills

  • Collaborative and team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to accept assignments directly from multiple sources, multitask and effectively manage priorities among multiple concurrent tasks and adjust to changing priorities
  • Independently complete assignments with minimal oversight
