Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist - Stormwater to work primarily in the field inspecting stormwater assets, overseeing maintenance and repair work, and supporting compliance with stormwater regulations. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who enjoy being outdoors and working directly with infrastructure. ~90% of the work will be field based.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct stormwater asset inspections and condition assessments at client sites.
Oversee stormwater maintenance and repair activities; coordinate with subcontractors (you won't be performing hands-on repairs).
Support documentation of field activities and observations using company systems.
Assist with reporting and data entry related to inspections and maintenance.
Ensure work aligns with stormwater regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or closely related field preferred.
1+ years of professional experience in stormwater work or environmental field roles.

Skills & Knowledge

Familiarity with Maryland stormwater permits and regulations strongly preferred.
Comfortable conducting field work in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle required for field travel.

Other Requirements

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

Work Environment

Majority of time spent in the field (~90%).
Must provide your own transportation to/from field sites.
Hybrid office access available as needed for training, reporting, and team meetings.

Annual Expected Pay Range
