Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics' (SOF AT&L) in the Acquisition Resource Office (AR).AR accepts and manages risk, takes personal initiative, and ensures results across the SOF AT&L landscape. This is a full-time position located at MacDill AFB, FL.
Responsibilities
Supports development, implementation, and control of non-traditional financial, contractual, and technical aspects of projects/programs through designated phases of the acquisition cycle.
- Support the planning of acquisition strategy for assigned projects/programs within cost, schedule, and performance baselines as directed by the Director.
- Draft, coordinate, and manage final reporting of recurring SITREPS to USSOCOM senior staff, TMTs, portal management, and various taskings from the Director, AR.
- Assists with the planning, development, strategy, and execution of various special projects, reporting to SOF AT&L senior leadership.
- Prepare, present, defend, and interpret DoW and commercial studies to the Director AR, and/or other management officials.
- Conduct meetings and working groups to address problems, technical developments, program changes, etc., and to collectively prepare an approach to program changes.
- Brief higher levels of management on program progress, problems, and other factors of interest or inquiry.
- Provides Support to the Engage SOF (eSOF) Program: eSOF submissions' staffing, monitoring, and closing; eSOF account creation/maintenance; eSOF metrics; logistics coordination for SOF-peculiar product/service/capability discussions or demonstrations
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency (DAWIA level II equivalent), and in the Program Management field, or the ability obtain within 6 months of hire Education: Bachelor's degree in Acquisitions, Business, or related field Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years working in federal government classified acquisition projects, including:
- Experience with non-traditional financial, contractual, and technical aspects of acquisition projects/programs
- Experience drafting, managing, and briefing a variety of project/program-specific documentation.
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting DoW and commercial studies
Preferred Qualifications: Additional Experience:
- Experience with the Engage SOF (eSOF) Program: eSOF submissions' staffing, monitoring, and closing; eSOF account creation/maintenance; eSOF metrics; logistics coordination for SOF-peculiar product/service/capability discussions or demonstrations
- Working Knowledge of military protocol
Additional Information Location: MacDill AFB, FL On-site/Hybrid/Remote: On-site Travel: Must support frequent (quarterly or more) travel, to include limited notification as short as 14 days prior, to locations including but not limited to SOFWERX, SOFI,C and USSOCOM in support of various Acquisition Agility objectives
