As the Director of Inclusion and Belonging, you will be at the forefront of shaping and nurturing a workplace environment that thrives on inclusion. By promoting employee engagement and leveraging your leadership expertise, you'll contribute to driving GSK organizational performance to new heights.

The Director of Inclusion and Belonging is a strategic leader responsible for advancing inclusion initiatives within an organization. This pivotal role serves as a catalyst for building an inclusive workplace culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best. The Inclusion and Belonging Director collaborate closely with executive leadership, human resources business leaders and partners, and employees at all levels to provide guidance, and assess programs that foster belonging and a culture where everyone can thrive.

  • Primary strategist and consultant for the US Commercial Leadership Team. Provide support and guidance to all BUs through Senior HRBL's and Business Heads and BU councils (ViiV, R&D, GSC, and GF).

  • Provides strategic direction, subject matter expertise and consultation to the ERG Network through developing, communicating and driving an innovative, comprehensive, high-impact strategy and governance that integrates voice of the ERGs, talent/leadership development, business alignment and ROI.

  • Ideate, develop and implement relevant innovative strategies that promote a high performing and inclusive company culture, drives employee engagement and ensures ERG success.

  • Identify notable contributions of ERG leaders and employees within the enterprise and support the implementation of the US inclusion awards celebration.

  • Provide guidance and governance for Inclusion initiatives/events/activities across the US Market.

  • Serve as the key liaison to work in partnership with the global and UK Inclusion teams to align new global strategies in the local market.

  • Oversee the management of 11 Employee Resource Groups, aligning their objectives with GSK goals while fostering intersectionality and increasing capability and skill building.

  • Assume accountability for managing ~$1M US budget, ensuring effective allocation and ROI assessment (inclusive of ERG Budget accountability) in compliance with corporate policies

  • Embed inclusive values into all organizational practices, policies, and communications.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote inclusion initiatives and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging.

  • Leverage employment practice insights and analytics to guide/ inform activation of Outreach & ERG Network-aligned strategies and funding.

  • Build and enhance GSK's external brand presence through strategic partnerships, community outreach and providing thought leadership.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on Inclusion & belonging best practices and provide different resources to the workforce across all BUs.

  • Ensure alignment with any practices, recommendations from The Global Inclusion Council.

  • Facilitate employee and leader listening sessions to encourage open dialogue, learning, and to deepen insights to better understand country specific inclusion needs for the development of a more inclusive work environment.

  • Lead and facilitate the social issues protocol team for the development of corporate responses to social issues that may impact the morale of GSK and ViiV employees by influencing executives; enabling a robust risk assessment; ensuring equitable outcomes and approaches across dimensions, and driving decision making.

  • Identify and act on feedback to continuously improve our cultural and inclusion practices.

  • Drive employee engagement and lead inclusion and belonging through thoughtful campaigns and optimization of key partnerships.

  • External speakers' management for key events and external participation of GSK leaders/employees.

  • Be a member of the HR Country Executive Board and partner with Recruitment, HR & US Fairness and Compliance, and UK Inclusion Lead.

  • Promote and Lead the Inclusion Awards for the US market.

  • Support global submission as needed for external indices and amplification of positive outcomes.

  • Support the Global Inclusion Lead in any key projects, (15%-20%)

  • Indirect Reports: 1 - ERG Business Partner

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Sociology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Inclusion & Belonging work, human resources, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience leading Inclusion strategies in a matrix organization successfully.

  • Experience, interacting and influencing with senior levels in the organization.

  • Strong knowledge of Inclusion and Belonging best practices, employment law, and organizational change management.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience working with various cultures and building relationships across all organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated courage to speak up and challenge across all levels of organization and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Sociology, or a related field.
