Acquisition Logistics Manager

WORK LOCATION: Lackland AFB, TX

JOB STATUS: Full-Time; Salaried

SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST have an active Top Secret security clearance

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Logistics Manager supporting the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, which is within the Cyber and Networks Directorate (AFLCMC/HN), and located at Lackland AFB, TX.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years' experience in lieu of degree.
  • Acquisition logistics experience.
  • Knowledge of DoD integrated life-cycle management and integrated logistics support as it applies to the logistics management of acquisition programs, the acquisition lifecycle, and product support planning during each phase.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • COMSEC acquisition or sustainment experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with communications security technical and functional personnel on use of the logistics integrated product support (IPS) elements to prepare, evaluate and review customer requirements.
  • Advise Government program managers on logistics documentation required by DoD Instruction 5000.02.
  • Translate users' desires into government program documents such as Item Unique Identification Implementation Plan, the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
  • Review & validate that logistics documents are accurate, clear, and consistent with acquisition regulations.
  • Identify potential logistic and program management issues and suggest changes.
  • Assist with acquisition market research to investigate parts supplier capability and recommend likely sources for procurement actions.
  • Update databases to identify national stock number requirements. Participate in program provisioning.
  • Maintain audit trails, such as long lead items listing and program risk attributed to parts lead times.
