ACARA Solutions and our client located in Manassas, VA have a contract-to-direct hire position available

Test Engineer/CWL (Common Weapon Launching)
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required at the time of hire

Here's what you'd do:

  • As a CWL (Common Weapon Launching) Test & Evaluation Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
    • Collaborating with CWL and MTWS (Missile Threat Warning Systems) engineers to conduct testing and integration.
    • Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups within Progeny and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.
    • Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.
    • Operating in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
    • Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates.
    • Reporting to a supervisor or manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.
    • Doors experience not required but a nice to have.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Engineering with 4 years of experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience with object-oriented programming, system processes, and scripting languages
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Doors experience is nice to have.
  • Master's Degree with 2 years of experience
  • Navy or Submarine experience
  • Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
  • Solid knowledge in the use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Additional Information :

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Ability to lift to 45 pounds.
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance
