Immediately hiring! Are you ready to take the next step in your automotive repair career working on moving vans and box trucks customers rely on? If you're detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and enjoy hands-on work that keeps vehicles on the road, join the Avis Budget Group team supporting Budget Truck operations.

In this role, your work helps ensure trucks are safe, reliable, and available-directly supporting customer businesses and a smooth rental experience.

What You'll Do:

As an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech), you will perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks across multiple brands with minimal technical supervision. Your responsibilities include oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs based on your experience level.

You may also assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures as you continue to grow your skills. As needed, you may be required to drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing, repair verification, or operational support.

By keeping vehicles operating safely and efficiently, your work helps reduce downtime, supports fleet availability, and ensures customers can get on the road with confidence.

Perks You'll Get:

* Bi-weekly hourly wage (New York and Puerto Rico: weekly wage)
* On-the-job training to expand your automotive skills and support ASE certification growth
* Paid time off
* Medical, dental and other insurance
* Flexible spending account opportunity to contribute up to $270 as a tax-free benefit for public transportation or parking expenses
* Retirement benefits (401k)
* Employee discounts, including discounted car rental and discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars

* Above perks may vary based on full-time/part-time status and location

What We're Looking For:

* Valid Driver's License (Class A, B, or C)
* Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience
* At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year
* Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel
* Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
* Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance
* Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
* Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
