| Department Statement |
The Office of Conference Services and Summer Programs oversees camps, conferences, and other external rentals at Colgate University. The office works with campus partners to manage logistics including housing, dining, and facility setup; assure compliance with campus policies and state and local regulations; and minimize disruptions to the regular operations of the University.

| Accountabilities |
Summer Health Assistants work with the Summer Health Director to supervise the health and sanitation for several summer programs operating at Colgate University. They act as liaisons to the Madison County Department of Health by maintaining all medical paperwork and reporting incidents as they arise, including days, nights, and weekends.
Summer Health Assistants assist with health screenings, the supervision of medication administration, and the maintenance of confidential medical histories. They respond to emergencies, make referrals to Community Memorial Hospital, report incidents to the Madison County Department of Health, and maintain a daily medical log.
The position will run from approximately June 17, 2026 - July 22, 2026. |
Requirements
| Professional Experience/ Qualifications |
Must be certified in New York State as a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or emergency medical technician, in addition to having a current certificate in Responding to Emergencies first aid and a current
CPR certification not exceeding one year in duration.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Must be capable of working collegially with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis. |
