The Tavazoie laboratory in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University invites applications for an associate research scientist working on studies of microbiome colonization. The applicant needs to have extensive expertise in computational biology, machine learning/AI, molecular biology, microbiology, and in vivo mouse colonization studies. The applicant will conduct research into molecular mechanisms of mammalian gut colonization in collaboration with computational and experimental scientists.
