Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $310,000 - $360,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan salary scale. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The Interventional Psychiatry Program Director will direct a new interventional psychiatry program in the Ambulatory Care Division of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at UC Irvine. This will include providing clinical administrative oversight of the program, supervising additional faculty delivering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other rapid acting therapeutic agents, education residents and fellows and, where appropriate, oversee research activities involving TMS and other neurotherapeutic interventions. The Interventional Psychiatry Program Director will be hired into the Professor of Clinical X Series - Open Ranks. Candidates must possess an M.D. degree and be eligible to be certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Applicants must be eligible for a California Medical License. Applicants must have a demonstrated and established track record in TMS based therapeutics. Applicants must have a track record of conducting mechanistic research using TMS as a tool and/or clinical trials of neuromodulation in serious mental disorders including major depression, OCD and psychotic disorders. Preferred qualifications include excellent clinical skills, medical knowledge, interest in teaching, and scholarly aspirations. Applicants must be able to contribute to the diverse needs of our diverse patient population served by the Department of Psychiatry.

Salaries are based on University of California salary scales, which are dependent on academic rank and step, and commensurate with experience. Clinically active faculty may be eligible for additional compensation based on productivity.
