Position Summary
The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the supply needs of the Interventional Radiology (IR), Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Labs, and Radiology Suite. This role oversees inventory management and storage for high-value clinical and physician-preferred products, leveraging Q-Site web-based technology to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and ensure accurate charge capture. The position also supports inventory optimization, expiration tracking, and compliance with supply chain and billing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement and inventory of supplies for IR and Cath Lab areas, ensuring database accuracy and resolving issues related to backorders, substitutions, stockouts, and overdue orders. Receive products by scanning manufacturer barcodes into the Q-Site inventory system; manually enter product details when barcodes are unreadable, including descriptions, lot numbers, and catalog IDs. Print and apply labels to ensure accurate clinician scanning and charge capture during procedures. Perform daily review and resolution of Q-Site interface exceptions in collaboration with Charge Master Analysts and Procurement to ensure accurate posting to EPIC and patient accounts. Collect and submit required information to load new products into the Lawson Materials Management system. Coordinate product returns with vendors and collaborate with sales representatives and system colleagues to exchange products nearing expiration. Perform inventory replenishment, determine optimal storage locations, and maintain organized, clearly labeled stocking areas to support efficient counts and access. Use inventory data and technology to recommend appropriate PAR levels and reduce overall inventory value. Conduct cycle counts, validate lot numbers, and support annual fiscal inventory activities. Distribute and replenish medical/surgical supplies to nursing units, ensuring accurate PAR levels and preventing stockouts. Verify inventory quantities in Par Excellence cabinets and bins to ensure accurate replenishment with just-in-time vendors. Provide coverage and support for Sterile Processing Department (SPD) and Materials Management functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education
Experience
2-4 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and/or a clinical support environment Proficiency with general PC applications (spreadsheets, word processing, presentation tools) Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technical systems

Accountable for inventory accuracy, budget adherence, charge capture integrity, and supply chain cost-savings initiatives Responsible for resolving billing interface exceptions and meeting departmental performance goals
