*Administers basic & advanced respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services.
*Responsible for the shift assignment of work and resources including allocation of staff, equipment, assignments, and scheduling.
*Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols and pathways for optimal care delivery.
*Actively participates in Quality Improvement, direct observations, and medical record reviews.
*Respiratory Therapists are responsible for point of care testing as designated by the Medical Director including specimen collection, testing patient samples at the bedside or near-patient and for performing quality control, proficiency testing and maintenance of the point of care devices.
