What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Quality Systems Engineering Technician toassistin developing and implementing quality systems. This position will involveidentifyinginefficiencies across the business andberesponsible forimplementationof technical solutions by working closely with the Technical Program Manager. Your changes will haveimpacton the way people work. What You'll Do
  • Continuously drive cultural improvements through ESD awareness and compliance initiatives

  • Support engineers by providing direct feedback on system iterations and line functionality

  • Load images into software programs, sort and label them, and monitor automated labeling performance - monitor alerts, analyze available data to identify failures, and implement quick fixes

  • Using basic hand tools, install line-side equipment, including cameras and computer hardware - perform wiring, networking, and operation of computer programs in industrial/manufacturing environments

  • Understand basic Megapack quality issues and assess the feasibility of automated computer vision inspections (after hands-on training) and collaborate with relevant teams to determine optimal locations for hardware installation

  • Collect data using metrological equipment, such as resistance meters, electrostatic field meters, contact voltmeters, and similar tools

  • Validate production equipment via ESD risk assessments as well as install, configure, and maintain ESD testers / protected area requirements - provide training to peers and cross-functional teams


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Physical Sciences discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Ability to use technological tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data; such as Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, JIRA

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment with deadlines

  • Well-organized with meticulous attention to detail, including technical reporting writing Strong skills as a team player and collaborator across diverse functional groups

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices (e.g., 5S, TPS, TQM) is desired

  • Solid computer skills including specific experience with file systems and basic understanding of computer networks

  • Understanding of fundamental electrical theories and concepts, including resistance, voltage, and current with knowledge of ESD standards (e.g., ANSI/ESD S20.20 and ESD TR53) being highly desired

    Expected Compensation
    $27.45 - $46.56/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
