Our Company Adobe's GenAI Evaluation Team is hiring an applied scientist with expertise in audio to join an interdisciplinary team of cognitive scientists, data scientists, HCI researchers, and engineers. You will have an opportunity to work with the latest audio-visual AI-powered tools and conceptualize approaches to measure their quality, utility, and safety. In this role, you will work closely with audio researchers, model builders, evaluation engineers, and product managers to evaluate the latest audio & video model developments by leveraging both human perceptual experiments and automated metrics. You will design and implement evaluation methodologies, metrics, and user studies for audio product features. You will prepare and present reports and findings to cross-functional teams and to product leadership. You will contribute to strategic product decisions.
An ideal candidate has a Masters, PhD, or Postdoctoral experience in cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, HCI, or related computer science disciplines, with a specific focus on audio (speech, music, SFX). Masters-level candidates will be expected to have multiple years of additional relevant industry experience.
The candidate will be expected to independently design and run evaluation studies with human participants for each audio domain: speech, music, and SFX, so expertise in at least one, and familiarity with the others, will be required.

In California, the pay range for this position is $216,400 - $313,300 In New York, the pay range for this position is $216,400 - $313,300 In Massachusetts, the pay range for this position is $188,700 - $273,175 At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
