Job Overview

Assist Manufacturing Engineering bysupporting the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for various projects. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, project managers, and the production team to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving innovation.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing methods, conduct time/motion studies, and implement new production techniques to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Testing & Quality Control: Perform tests on products and machinery, analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure products meet specifications.
  • Equipment & Machinery: Set up, calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production equipment, sometimes programming computer-controlled machines.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers and production staff to implement changes, resolve problems, and support new product development.
  • Documentation: Keep records of production, maintenance, tests, and process data; may create reports or change orders.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety regulations, use proper safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED required. Two-year technical degree, associate degree or postsecondary certificate in manufacturing technology or a related engineering field preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:Proficiency withCAD/CAM softwarefor process planning and 3D modeling. Familiarity withLean ManufacturingandSix Sigmamethodologies is highly valued.
  • Analytical Skills:Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities to analyze production data and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for long periods, work in noisy environments, and lift heavy materials (often up to 40 lbs)
