Job Title: Material Handler and Driver

Location(s): Gibsonton, FL

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of forklift experience (Required), Pallet Jack.
  • Must have a current Forklift Certification.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License with at least two years driving and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Language:
  • English (Required).
  • Spanish (a plus)
Work authorization:
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
Shift availability:
  • Day Shift (Required)
Qualifications:
  • The ability and desire to work safely
  • The ability to work overtime when required
  • Must be able to work weekends when required.
Certification or Licensing Requirements
  • Valid Florida Driver's License with at least two years driving and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain transfer and production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
  • Verifies all loading and unloading of material for assurance.
  • Assists Inventory Control for verification of counts and material
  • Complete loading and unloading documentation when required.
  • The employee is responsible for the racking of material per instruction.
  • Communicating to Supervisor any problems with material, racks, or trucks.
  • Assisting at processing inbound and outbound racks when needed.
  • Assemble customer shipments from OSS and place castings in crates.
  • or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Prepare product for shipping.
  • Ensures warehouse is maintained in a clean, orderly, and visually attractive manner in compliance with 5s policy.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated
  • Must be able to follow all forklift safety regulations including but not limited to always wearing your seatbelt.
  • Also, in times of necessity, a forklift drive will have the same duties as a General Labor.
  • Schedules and coordinates the truck activities.
  • Drives the Spring's truck to destinations and picks up donated item. Unloads articles at warehouse location or a Spring facility as directed by management.
  • Maintains truck log by completing the Inspection form weekly.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water prior to leaving facility.
  • Advise supervisor if servicing is required. May perform Emergency Roadside repairs.
Physical Demands
  • Standing for an extended amount of time; including but not limited to 6-8-hour time periods.
  • Requires up to 50 lbs. to be lifted.
  • Walking, standing, using hands, stooping/kneeling, reaching, and push/pulling are required in the course of job duties each day.
  • Noise level is high.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
