What to Expect
Sr. NPI Technical Program Manager will support the LFP Cell New Product Introduction team. This candidate will be leading launch and timeline of a new production line, then transitioning into a sustained role, tracking program schedule of product form, fit, function changes on the production line. The Sr. TPM will manage program schedules, resource allocation management, issue tracking, understanding how decisions in one area impact other departments and operational goals. The Sr. TPM will ensure both internal and cross-functional teams adhere to NPI processes and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Manage the cross functional team to ensure successful launches of new products into the LFP Cell Manufacturing team
- Lead build core team meetings to coordinate all aspects of prototype builds, set build plans and evaluate constraints, lead, guide, and mentor junior team members
- Drive material readiness with supply chain and material planning teams
- Provide direction to project engineers for priorities and trial requirements; own product roadmaps
- Perform cost analyses to reduce product cost and manage inventory
- Aid in the development and roll-out of NPI structure and processes
- Coordinate with Process and Quality Engineers to support new product roll outs, including hand-on oversight of manufacturing trials, troubleshooting and failure mode analysis
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience working in R&D, production, or manufacturing environment through direct line support, including running trials on a continuous throughput manufacturing line
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, or quality control in high-volume production
- Hands on experience with cell technology, battery manufacturing processes or related fields (e.g. cell assembly, electrode coating, cell testing) or experience in chemical manufacturing (e.g. chemical processing, food processing, coating, or mixing applications)
- Experience launching or scaling a new product or production line
- Product design and/or design for manufacturing experience
- Executive level communication skills, both verbal and written to both technical and non-technical team members
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage large teams under pressure
- Works well under pressure and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously;Ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Ability to work additional hours (after hours and weekends) as needed
