I. PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Delivery and transportation material or other goods in such a way as to allow the continuous flow of products throughout the facility.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Reviews production build requirements.
  • Picks and stages parts for delivery to the production area in such a manner that ensures that the correct quantity of the part is delivered to the correct place.
  • Delivers material from the warehouse to the production area and vice versa.
  • Provides support to the decant/kitting areas.
  • Drives forklift or operates other powered industrial vehicles to transport a variety of material, parts, or products.
  • USES SAP to Report production, Pick, and Bin to Bin parts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Notifies supervisor regarding inventory shortages/discrepancies.
  • Stacks materials in designated area.
  • Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures.
  • Identify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection and investigation findings) and their corrective actions.
  • Understands and adheres to current quality and control policies.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

IV. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

A. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/GED

Ability to read (part numbers, work instructions, safety bulletins, etc.)

Industrial/Manufacturing Experience preferred

B. SKILL/CHARACTERISTICS

Excellent attendance required, due to the critical nature of this position. High absenteeism may result in job reassignment, and corresponding change in pay. Must be able work overtime, with minimal notice, to support production area. Must be able to operate forklift safely and effectively (with training). Ability to work effectively both within and across departments.

VI. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to sit or stand for at least 8 hours per day. Must be able to bend, twist, and turn repeatedly over an 8-12 hours per day. Must have full range of motion from neck, shoulder, arms and waist for 8-12 hours per day.

A. ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. B. NEED FOR DRIVING OR TRAVEL

On rare or infrequent occasions, the Team Manager may assign a short trip to any one of several staff members.

Travel by auto or commercial carrier to attend meetings and conferences or visit customer or other plants.
