Responsibilities

We're looking for a Junior Systems Engineer to support the development and sustainment of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal partners. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on systems engineering experience while working alongside senior engineers and government stakeholders on mission-critical programs.

What You'll Do

    Support mid-level engineers and Government teams across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, solution design, integration, testing, and sustainment.

  • Assist with analyzing and tracing user requirements through system architectures, workflows, and technical documentation.

  • Help identify opportunities to automate or improve existing systems, including evaluating cloud services, workflows, and scheduling constraints.

  • Contribute to solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.

  • Support the translation of mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements.

  • Assist with systems integration activities across enterprise environments.

  • Participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.

  • Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design efforts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field, such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
    - or equivalent experience:

    • 4 additional years of relevant experience with no degree, or

    • 2 additional years of relevant experience with a non-STEM degree

Experience

  • 0-6 years of systems engineering experience in government or industry environments.

Security

  • Active TS/SCI clearance, or ability to obtain SCI and successfully complete a polygraph.

Desired Qualifications

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts, tools, and languages.

  • Working knowledge of modern software development frameworks and methodologies.

Mission & Domain Experience

  • Experience supporting geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) programs or missions.

  • Prior work on NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs or projects.

  • Previous experience supporting IC and/or DoD programs or projects.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
