Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree and four (4) years of sports related experience; OR a Master's degree and two (2) years of related experience; OR eight (8) years of sports related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.



Job Summary

Responsible for managing the coordination of all recruiting efforts not limited to official and unofficial visits, managing student recruiting volunteers, student-athlete development, and assisting with in house operational needs. Oversee key administrative functions, compliance, and operational aspects, ensuring alignment with institutional, conference, and NCAA standards.

  • Lead the development and execution of the football program's recruiting visits, identifying and coordinating effective locations for both on campus and off campus recruiting events.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on all on campus prospect camps and clinics.
  • Oversee official and unofficial visits for recruits in compliance with NCAA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies, including recruiting.
  • Design and execute comprehensive player development programs focused on academic, athletic, and personal growth.
  • Serve as Liaison for Player Parents and create and manage the Parents Facebook Group.
  • Oversee Initial Eligibility along with serving as the Liaison to the Office of Compliance, Student-Athletic Academic Center, and SALC.
  • Ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional policies, maintaining accurate and timely records of recruiting activities and roster decisions. Collaborate with compliance officers to address eligibility and operational questions.
  • Represent the football program in community outreach and public events, identifying and managing issues impacting the program's reputation and public image. Work with other athletic and institutional departments to foster fan engagement and generate revenue
  • Develop programs and initiatives to support player retention, academic success, and personal growth, collaborating with academic advisors and support staff to monitor player progress and ensure eligibility. Work with coaches to design individualized development plans for players.
  • Coordinate class check schedules and class checkers. Along with overseeing the Academic Plans and Progress for the players and support areas.
  • Coordinate in conjunction with the Assistant AD for Football Operations, all onboarding of first time student-athletes not limited to: Class Schedules, Housing, and financial aid.
  • Assist the Assistant AD for Football Operations with Team Activities not limited to: Team Bonding, Team Meals, Team Meetings, etc.
  • Reviews, understands, and abides by all department procedures
  • Ensures the athletic department is in compliance with all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations, including the development and implementation of procedures by which compliance will be determined and documented.
  • Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Director of Recruiting/Football Operations Coordinator. Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.
  • Serves as a University card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University credit card policies and procedures.
