Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Network Engineer to join our security business unit.

Job Summary

The Systems Engineer role emphasizes technical expertise, customer service, and teamwork. This position requires a professional who can design, implement, and maintain IT systems while building strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with server builds, migrations, and cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technical



  • Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and network components.
  • Build and configure physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Perform server migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Deploy and manage cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure (experience with AWS and Google Cloud is a plus).
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and scalability.
  • Support Microsoft core business applications (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, RDS/Terminal Services).
  • Implement and maintain remote access solutions (VPN, Citrix, Terminal Services).
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support disaster recovery strategies, including server imaging and automated offsite backups.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior team members.
  • Ensure accurate ticket documentation for service issues and projects.
  • Proven experience in server builds, migrations, and virtualization.

Be available for occasional after-hours work for projects and emergencies
