Job Description

Rockwell Automation is looking for a senior-level Business Systems Analyst with a background in technology, or a related field. As a Business Systems Analyst you will gather requirements and design solutions to meet those requirements. You will also be responsible for testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications to improve business processes. This is a hybrid role and you will report to

Your Responsibilities:

  • Elicit and validate requirements
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
  • Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements through workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
  • Research, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further applying these processes.
  • Help research products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Participate in the QA of solutions to ensure features have been enabled and optimized.
  • Participate in the selection of any requirements documentation software solutions that we may opt to use.
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Develop and use standard templates to write specifications.
  • Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the project team.
  • Conduct peer reviews of requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
  • Translate requirements into practical solutions
  • Track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine.
  • Communicate enhancements, and modifications of requirements - verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other partners so that they understand issues and solutions.

The Essentials- you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience

The Preferred - You might also have:

  • Typically requires 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of business administration, finance, computer science or information systems
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning and organizing
  • Working knowledge of Windows, MS systems
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Experience using Agile methodologies including Jira and Jira Align
  • Experience using collaborative tools such as Miro
