Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine has an opening for a clinical instructor in the IMG Pathway in our Department of Radiology/Division of Neuroradiology. The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting complex diagnostic neuroradiology studies, including advanced MRI and CT of the brain, head, neck, and spine. Our high-volume practice encompasses a wide range of adult (80-85%) and pediatric (15-20%) cases. UNC is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and has been ranked No. 1 for ENT in the state, providing exposure to diverse and challenging head and neck pathology.

The Neuroradiology Division collaborates closely with colleagues in Neurointerventional Radiology, Emergency Radiology, and Pediatric Radiology, as well as with multidisciplinary teams in Oncology, Neurology, Radiation Oncology, Neuro-ophthalmology, and Neurosurgery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting diagnostic neuroradiology studies.
  • Supervising fellows and residents.
  • Performing basic fluoroscopic spine procedures.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Contributing to research and mentoring trainees on academic projects (highly desirable).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
M.D., D.O. or FMG equivalent and one year of clinical training. Must be able to obtain current NC Medical License, DEA, and NPI number.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Clinical experience in the area of neuroradiological imaging.
