Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a CAP Clinical Team Lead to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The CAP Clinical Team Lead (RN) assists in overseeing the clinical team and functions and manages assigned work plan projects to comply with performance standards. The CAP RN Lead coordinates with the CAP/C and CAP/DA Program Managers and the Clinical Director on decisions and issues and communicates with providers regarding determinations and other clinical matters. The CAP Lead also develops and leads clinical staff in activities that support clinical quality and cost effective outcomes. Occasional travel within North Carolina may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the CAP Program Manager, coordinate and monitor all clinical team activities.
  • Lead team members in developing skills, creativity, and problem solving.
  • Serve as the primary contact for CAP IAs, SRF Team, and MDT Review Team.
  • Serve as the primary contact and CAP orientation coordinator for new CAP hires.
  • Conduct ongoing training and education for staff to ensure competency in CAP program requirements, documentation standards, and nursing protocols related to SRFs, Assessments, MDT Reviews, and Due Process.
  • Serve as a point of contact for CAP program inquiries, providing guidance and support to staff and stakeholders.
  • Oversee and participate in the completion of SRFs and MDT Reviews.
  • Under the direction of the CAP Program Manager, oversee clinical staff productivity and performance to ensure alignment with standards outlined in the NCLIFTSS (CIAE) contract.
  • Oversee completion of monthly assessment quality checks.
  • Serve as a member of CAP's Due Process Team by providing RN support and completing deliverables outlined in the NCLIFTSS (CIAE) contract.
  • Manage and complete assigned work plans and projects in a timely manner.
  • Complete monthly reports as assigned by CAP Program Managers.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to develop and enhance processes, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Represent the clinical department by participating in committees, task forces, work groups, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain professional relationships with provider communities and external customers and identify opportunities for improvement.

The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other education- and experience-related duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role or leading programs or projects, preferably in Medicaid, healthcare, or Long Term Services and Supports.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid policies, regulations, and reimbursement mechanisms, particularly related to long term services and supports for children with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of the North Carolina healthcare system, Medicaid programs, and community resources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, quality improvement, and program evaluation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

Pay Range

USD $75,840.00 - USD $82,000.00 /Yr.
