Painter - A1 Balers of Florida - West Palm Beach, FL Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Monday through Friday & some Saturdays Reports To: Division Manager Job Summary As we continue to grow our operation at A1 Balers of Florida, we are looking to hire a dependable Painter to support our shop and field operations. Our division specializes in solid waste equipment refurbishing and repair, including mobile compactor and baler service, truck refurbishing, and container restoration. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and appearance of the equipment we refurbish for our customers. Essential Job Functions The Painter will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, cleaning, and painting of equipment, containers, and compactors. Core responsibilities include:
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Overtime Expectations When the company experiences a high volume of projects, overtime will be required. Employees will be expected to work until 5:00 p.m. as needed and may also be scheduled to work on Saturdays to meet operational demands. What We're Looking For A reliable, safety-focused team member who takes pride in quality work, follows direction well, and is ready to grow with our division as we expand. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Skills should include dismantling & reassembling vehicles, wash/prep vehicles for paint, minor body work, sanding/prep, masking, priming & painting (single and 2 stage systems).
2. Perform body repairs on Heavy Duty Equipment, including but not limited to Rear Load, Front Load, Roll Off, Grapple, Port-a-let, and other service type trucks including chassis and body. 3. Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective repair. 4. Completes all required paperwork / computer data entry, including documenting parts usage and time in and out on repair orders, in a timely and concise manner 5. Follows all safety policies and procedures. 6. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. 7. Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals when needed. 8. Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. 9. Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability. 10. Ability to research information needed to fix and restore trucks including chassis and bodies. QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of use of body fillers, epoxy & urethane primers & paints, single and two stage paint systems.
2. Knowledge of Paint & Body work. 3. Computer skills as required. 4. Toolbox and tools commonly used for body repairs, part removal & painting. 5. Mechanic trade school certification or 3+ years of experience 6. 6h Federal EPA certified CDL Required

* Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
