Client: Rapidly Growing Confectionary Manufacturer
Role: Controller
Salary: $175K - $180K base + bonus + equity

Location: Suffolk County

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Lead monthly/annual GAAP reporting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Cost Accounting: Manage standard costing, BOM accuracy, and labor/overhead allocation. Partner with Ops to optimize margins and production efficiency.
  • Compliance & Controls: Enforce internal controls, manage annual audits, and ensure compliance with food manufacturing regulations.
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting, CAPEX planning, and ROI analysis for new facility investments.
  • Systems Optimization: Lead the enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to drive automation and data integrity.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, specifically within the manufacturing industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's in accounting or finance; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and the ability to partner cross-functionally with production teams.
Preferred Attributes
  • Background in Food, Confectionery, or CPG manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with FDA or SQF compliance frameworks.
  • A mindset geared toward continuous improvement and operational excellence.
