We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with deep Fortinet expertise.

This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone who excels in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex network challenges, and takes ownership in bringing structure, stability, and best practices to a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust, scalable network architectures with a strong emphasis on Fortinet firewalls and SD?WAN technologies.
  • Configure and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points across practices and datacenter environments.
  • Lead and support project-based initiatives, including lifecycle hardware refreshes and multi-site integrations.
  • Strengthen network security by implementing and maintaining controls aligned with HIPAA, HITRUST, and organizational standards.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address risks or vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses and implement solutions that improve stability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, diagrams, and processes.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance windows to minimize impact on clinical operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide knowledge-sharing where needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience in complex environments.
  • Required: Strong, demonstrated experience with Fortinet firewalls, FortiGate, and Fortinet SD?WAN.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing multi-site networks.
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls (training will be provided if needed).
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, VPNs, network protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments preferred (HIPAA/HITRUST familiarity ideal).
  • Proficiency with network monitoring, diagnostic, and documentation tools.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
