Overview The Vault and Bus design group is a dynamic group involved in all aspects of design and construction of vault infrastructure for the company. The Junior Designer will be responsible for designing, drawing, and interpreting construction documents, wiring diagrams, bus drawings, and ensuring compliance with company standards, specifications, and regulations. The Jr Designer will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- The Junior Designers will design, draw and interpret construction documents, wiring diagrams, and bus drawings, applying appropriate work codes as per company standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Have an understanding of Structural, Electrical and Mechanical of vault and bus design and construction.
- Ability to interpret and analyze company plates, specifications, and field sketches to determine the impact to company facilities.
- The Jr Designer will have a working knowledge of CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and familiarity with Autodesk softwares, i.e AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, etc.
- Knowledgeable in Company Mapping System, Microsoft Programs, and ADEPT prior to employment. All other applications necessary to the job will be taught post hire.
- If a job requires a field visit, Junior Designers shall be comfortable with field inspection and going into manholes, in close proximity to live equipment.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years Design Work Experience or
- Associate's Degree In Electrical, Civil, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering/Technology
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver's License Required

- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
- Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday
- Stand to use/operate office equipment for the duration of the workday
Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
