Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness (Clearinghouse) at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Research Professor to assist in the scientific development, implementation, dissemination, and evaluation of community-based programs, projects, and services across the public and private sector. The Clearinghouse is an applied research center, nationally recognized for its work on improving the health and well-being of military service members and their families. Projects focus on topics such as parenting, building family resilience, preventing family violence, enhancing child and youth development, suicide prevention, obesity prevention, evaluation of mental health treatments, veteran transitions from military to civilian life, and families at risk, among numerous others. This position will support The Schools Empowering At-Risk Students (SEAS) project. SEAS partners with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) to provide world class education to military connected school aged children. This work includes creation and delivery of professional development training for teachers and student support personnel (i.e., counselors, psychologists, nurses) to support the unique needs of military families. Education and Experience: This position requires a Ph.D. in a Social Science related field and 2+ years of related experience. Prior experience in qualitative data collection and analysis, designing learning materials, and knowledge of military connected students are strongly preferred. Work Arrangement: This position is open to a remote or hybrid working arrangement, the details of which can be discussed during the interview process.
