CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer IV to join our Electric Distribution Team to work remotely from home and lead the way in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions for electric distribution systems. This is your opportunity to take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and play a pivotal role in advancing our technical capabilities for sustainable communities.



What You'll Do:

    Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for electric distribution infrastructure.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff.
  • Support grid resiliency, system modernization, and storm hardening initiatives, ensuring designs prioritize safety, reliability, and constructability.
  • Monitor project performance to maintain efficient delivery, minimize risk, and meet budget and schedule requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and quality reviews for junior engineering staff to support professional development and high-quality deliverables.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$95,000 - $105,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
