What to Expect Tesla is seeking a junior attorney to join the Legal team supporting employment and environmental, health and safety functions. This role is suited for recent law school graduates or attorneys with 0-4 years of experience. The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys on legal research, drafting, project management, and administrative tasks while gaining hands-on in-house experience. What You'll Do Conduct legal research and analysis on employment and EHS matters and prepare correspondence, filings, and other legal documents under the supervision of senior attorneys Manage internal employment and EHS legal matters, including files, documents, policies, and procedures Coordinate and execute filings with labor, employment, and EHS regulatory agencies, including responses to document and information requests Support internal and external counsel on administrative and regulatory compliance and enforcement matters Assist with factual development, research, and analysis of employment and EHS legal matters, including stakeholder communication and document review Maintain employment and EHS legal files and track matter deadlines and schedules to ensure timely execution Assist with onboarding outside counsel, manage invoices and billing, and drive process and workflow improvements What You'll Bring Juris Doctor degree in Law, or equivalent experience 0-4 years of legal experience Strong attention to detail and organizational, analytical, and fact-finding skills Tech-savvy with strong technical aptitude and proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel and cloud-based software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
