WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Under general guidance, provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and support for business operations, planning and development, and activities covering areas such as business development, human resources, administration, budget management, business information systems, logistics and contracts. Typically develop information on budget status, workforce level, equipment availability, and other business unit capabilities. May perform certain operational activities on behalf of business unit. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Temporary Business Planning Analyst. This position will go through approximately June 30, 2026. This position may be based anywhere within the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern time zones.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD:

1. Provide program planning support through data analyses. Conduct research, business plan analyses and feasibility studies. Identify trends and develop recommendations for complex issues.
2. Develop concepts for projects and operations including, but not limited to analysis, reporting, budget and scheduling.
3. Conduct risk, resource, cost-benefit, variance, impact and/or other complex analyses. May develop metrics for and monitor performance of business unit, organization, initiatives and/or business operations.
4. Typically develop complex modeling and reporting tools or other systems for monitoring and analyzing performance or data integrity.
5. May coordinate certain operational support activities on behalf of business unit such as business development, human resources, administration, budget management, business information systems, logistics and contracts.

Scope:
Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge. Knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Work independently and may instruct or coach other professionals.

PAY INFORMATION

The salary range for this position is $66,780 -$96,460.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system.

* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
