About the Job

This work will be conducted within the Department of Animal Science on the St. Paul campus. This department focuses on teaching and research around topics related to food animal production. This a temp/casual, hourly appointment not to exceed 14 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update program website (hecagcommtraining.com)
  • Develop marketing brochure and other materials to publicize the program
  • Coordinate online seminar series with speakers and student participants
  • Recruit student participants and seek out speakers for webinar series and annual conference
  • Manage registration of student participants (40+ students)
  • Negotiate with the conference venue (hotel) to arrange sleeping rooms for students and speakers, meals, meeting rooms, AV needs
  • Interact with Conference planning committee that consists of faculty from 4 universities and 2 private firms
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least 4 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience coordinating online and in-person conferences and workshops.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
