Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Aviation Finance, this role is responsible for sourcing, marketing, and underwriting financing solutions for fixed-wing aircraft acquisitions and refinancing. The officer to originate and manage an aircraft loan portfolio, ensures compliance, and supports business growth through effective relationship management and risk oversight.

Key Responsibilities



  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for borrowers, driving customer loyalty and expanding loan and deposit products.
  • Originate, underwrite, and close aircraft loans, ensuring compliance with policies, approval terms, and loan agreements.
  • Negotiate and present renewals, modifications, waivers, and new credit requests to borrowers and approval authorities.
  • Develop and execute customer retention strategies, including nationwide onsite visits and participation in industry conferences for branding, marketing, and education.
  • Prospect for new business, maintain broker and dealer networks, and cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Oversee loan portfolio quality, including grading, collections, annual reviews, renewals, exception clearing, and financial trend monitoring.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, proactively identify and report adverse trends, and complete standardized compliance, risk assessment, and grading reports.
  • Interpret and negotiate loan and collateral documentation, ensuring compliance and risk oversight.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation industry risks, regulations, and governance through ongoing training and industry engagement.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in commercial/corporate banking and aviation finance.
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate aviation markets, aircraft valuation, and underwriting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Ability to work independently and make timely decisions.
  • Pilot license preferred.
