Job Summary

The Senior Accountant provides comprehensive accounting support to the business under the direction of the Senior Director, Accounting, while owning several key accounting functions across the organization. This role is responsible for executing critical analytical and recurring activities that support financial reporting, managing inputs to the general ledger, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and ensuring all files are accurate, complete, and properly maintained. The position also provides support to related functions such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

This is a hybrid remote position based out of Employbridge's Duluth, GA office.

Success in this role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical individual with strong communication skills. The Senior Accountant must be able to take full ownership of processes from end to end and effectively partner with and influence leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.



Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute general accounting processes to support multiple branches, systems, and currencies
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by the offshore shared services team
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting issues
  • Lead and/or support analytical activities for internal and external reporting in accordance with accounting policies, U.S. GAAP, and statutory requirements
  • Respond to accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting data to support timely reporting
  • Understand and apply internal controls; proactively identify opportunities to strengthen control processes
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Sales Finance to provide accounting support as needed
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures; recommend process improvements
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies and maintaining accurate financial data
  • Protect the organization's value by maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Support both external and internal audit requirements
  • Ensure compliance with agreed-upon Service Level Agreements
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as required



    Preferred Education & Experience

    • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Professional accountancy certification (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) strongly preferred
    • 3-5 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance function
    • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
    • Prior experience working within a shared services environment preferred
    • Familiarity with SOX compliance and related control requirements preferred
