Supervisory Duties: None

Summary: Greets and serves each client by name while providing World Class service through every interaction. Prepares and serves Cafe food. Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the Cafe, kitchen, dining area, and back room. Sanitizes dishes, equipment, and tables. Maintains cash with accuracy and speed of service. Has a strong sense of teamwork.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepares menu items using established policies and procedures while following the guidelines of management.
  • Operates the cash register. Keeping in mind the speed of service.
  • Assures menu items are prepared in sufficient quantities to satisfy volume as needed or directed. Focused on serving hot, fresh products.
  • Provides services to Cafe clients in a friendly and efficient manner - hospitality is top of mind regardless of where you are positioned.
  • Establishes and ensures seamless and exceptional guest experiences by greeting each guest by name - using names a minimum of two times per visit.
  • Maintains food that is the correct serving temperature and quality.
  • Reports substandard food quality to the Cafe Manager and properly discards. When is doubt, throw it out.
  • Sets up, maintains, and cleans cafe salad bar, hotline, and food and dry stock areas.
  • Cleans the cafe (including the serving area), and the Avanti area, continually. Stock supplies as needed.
  • Washes any and all dishes. Keeps all 3 sinks clean and fresh. Changing water frequently.
  • Prepares team treat baskets and delivers snacks to all departments when needed.
  • Maintains coffee stations on the 3rd and 4th floors.
  • Sets up and breaks down before and after team meetings that are held on the Corporate Campus.
  • Unloads product and stocks shelf.
  • Assists in rotating festive decorations to enhance ambience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in a Windows environment and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Calculator and basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Obtain ServSafe certification as recommended by management.
  • Must have the ability to work extra hours as needed. Including, but not limited to, retirement parties and corporate events.
  • Able and willing to adjust to change and anything else that comes up in the realm of hospitality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months-2 years of prior customer services and/or food handling experience.
  • Serves with a Servant Heart
