Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Support standard lab activities including media preparation, sterilization, and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform molecular biology and microbiology techniques under supervision.
  • Independently execute experiments and present findings to the R&D team at the end of the summer.
  • Analyze data, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate progress to advisors.
  • Participate in training sessions, and maintain a safe, collaborative lab environment.
  • Engage with professionals across departments to broaden your knowledge.
  • Contribute to real-world food innovation challenges.

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Current rising junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a BA/BS in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Food Science, or related fields. Graduate students welcome.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4 preferred.
  • Basic lab skills in microbiology or virology required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule for ~10-12 weeks during summer break.
  • Must have the right to work in the U.S. without restriction.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

  • Experience with molecular biology tools such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, and microbial culture techniques.
  • Comfortable communicating with different levels of hierarchy.
