We're looking for a Billing Manager to lead all aspects of billing operations, including compliance, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of billing practices. This role will manage and support Billing Supervisors to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent invoicing for all customers, while overseeing billing processes, implementing best practices, developing departmental metrics, and serving as the primary liaison with cross-functional partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor, and support Billing Supervisors in daily department operations.
  • Provide coaching and professional development for Supervisors and team members.
  • Communicate department goals aligned with company strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent billing practices.
  • Establish, track, and report on department KPIs related to throughput, accuracy, and process adherence.
  • Analyze underperforming metrics, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions, including process updates, training, or coaching.
  • Foster an environment of open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Corporate Accounts, Sales, Finance, and other teams to resolve complex billing issues.
  • Manage escalations related to invoicing discrepancies and corrections.
  • Support audits and organizational process changes by providing documentation and process expertise.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory processes.
  • 5-10 years of administrative or billing experience, including managing direct reports.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, customer-focused professional environment.
  • High level of accuracy and comfort working with financial and numerical data.
  • Excellent interpersonal, judgment, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong decision-making, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn additional systems and software.
  • Professional presence and ability to interact effectively with leadership and executives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to company values and safety standards.
