Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of the School of Music, music faculty are professional educators committed to helping students discover music and progress on their chosen instrument.

We are currently seeking musician educators to join our Violin faculty.



Job Responsibilities Include

    Teach private violin lessons to children ages 5 to 17, as well as adult students.
  • Maintain consistent availability on Monday and/or Wednesday afternoons.
  • Foster a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment tailored to individual student needs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and School of Music administration.


Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

Minimum Requirement: Master's Degree with Violin as the major.



Work Environment & Requirements

  • Strong commitment to teaching and to creating warm, inclusive learning environments.
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience, including work with young beginners and adult learners.
  • Demonstrated pedagogical skill in classical violin instruction.
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Consistently provides timely, clear, and professional communication.

Work Schedule and Environment

This is a per diem position.

Faculty typically teach between 4 and 16 hours per week based on the school calendar.

Summer lessons and classes may be available.

Per Diem Compensation

$56/hour for private lessons.
