Position Summary
This position will perform specialized work in supporting information technology equipment and systems for the business, research, and instructional functions of customers; will be a web applications developer for the Connected Health Applications and Interventions ( CHAI) Core. This position is part of a small software development team developing and maintaining web solutions to support research projects and academic programs. This position will be responsible for application and framework development of interactive web systems, and development of projects from early requirements gathering through testing and deployment. The person will be expected to write software code to specification within standard browser technologies (Laravel, SQL, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), test code according to guidelines, manage version control, and document all work. The programmer for this position must be able to provide stable, complex, and secure code independently; and develop code that is cross-browser compatible for desktop, tablet, and mobile phone experiences; develop with an intent for modular component reuse.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or a
- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming or closely related area; or an Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Journey level requires an additional one year of education or experience.
- Advanced level requires an additional two years of education or experience.
