Cyber Security Specialist (Jr - Sr)

BTS is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist (Jr - Sr) to join our team and provide support to facilitate operations on a critical infrastructure and services program. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/modernize. The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.

Physical Location: Full-time onsite

Clearance Level - Must Currently Possess: Top Secret/SCI

Overview:

Implementing and maintaining advanced security measures to protect the program environment from cyber threats. Conducts security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing tailored to the high-security DevOps and sustainment support framework. Monitors network and system activity, promptly responding to potential security incidents. Develops, enforces, and continuously updates robust security policies and procedures to comply with agencies and federal standards. Provides specialized cybersecurity training to personnel. Collaborates with IT teams to ensure secure development, deployment, and maintenance of the system.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

JR - BS IT; Comp T/A, A+, or Network+ Certs preferred; Entry level, Cyber management

MID - BS Network engineering, CISCO CCNA Certs preferred; 8 yrs Cybersecurity

SR - MS Cybersecurity, CISSP Cert preferred; 12 yrs, Cybersecurity and management

One of the following certifications: CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), CompTIA Security+, GIAC. Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+).
