The Position
2026 Summer Intern - Yu Lab Neuroscience Department Summary An internship position is available for a highly motivated and independent scientist to join the laboratory of Haiyang Yuin the Department of Neuroscience at Genentech. The Yu lab investigates the mechanisms of neurodegeneration, with a focus on liquid-liquid phase separation and protein homeostasis. This position will focus on the dynamic composition of RNA granules in neurons to elucidate the pathobiology of many neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease and ALS. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity

Required Majors: Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Neuroscience or a related field with specialization in live cell imaging or RNA Biology. Required Skills:

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location ofCalifornia is $40.00-$46.00 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
