We grow our people and promote from within as a standard practice. We are currently in search of an experienced and talented Branch Manager II for our Post Falls, ID location. The Branch Manager II will be responsible for managing all activities of this full service branch, including supervising the operational and audit functions of the office/branch. He or she will ensure that customers receive consistently high quality customer care in all aspects of their financial services. He or she will also be responsible for acquiring and retaining core deposit accounts, directing quality consumer lending activity and developing branch personnel into highly proficient individuals in public relations, customer service, selling and cross-selling accounts, services, and technical knowledge. Will prepares and administers the profit and business development plans of the branch and be responsible for the results. Will represents the Bank to the community in which the office is located through community activity and leadership. Leads and motivates the branch staff to increase profitability, growth, and productivity. Operating hours 8:30-6:00 Monday - Friday & 9:00 - 1:00 on Saturdays. Full time Salaried position, rate of pay DOE.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure through training, personal example, and work ethics that all office staff maintain a professional, courteous demeanor and provide customer service of the highest quality at all times.
  • Manage and motivate the branch staff to increase sales and cross-sell productivity. Direct the hiring of sales oriented individuals. Establish specific, measurable sales, customer service, an +d productivity goals for the branch as a whole and for each individual employee. Provides feedback on performance and recognizes productivity improvement. Periodically evaluates sales presentation of all branch personnel.
  • Holds a regular (at least monthly) sales meetings as a forum to motivate, share ideas, and success stories and provide instruction and learning activities
  • Encourages professional development of all branch personnel. Develop a team of sales oriented professionals. Manages the branch staff to ensure the office operates at optimum efficiency and that the staff is trained, motivated, and marketing oriented.
  • Approves selection, hiring, review, promotion, and termination of branch personnel within the guidelines set by the Human Resource Department. Appraises performance of subordinates and recommends promotions, salary adjustments, additional training, transfers, etc to the Personnel Department. Provides for optimum utilization of employees. Supervises the training and cross-training of staff to effect maximum performance.
  • Determines such matters as assignment of duties to meet fluctuations in workload and scheduling of vacations. Supervises the preparation of staffing schedule sufficient to meet customer service demands and to insure that the selling function is adequately covered.
  • Contacts and receives inquiries from customers regarding any operational or depository problem developing a means of servicing them. Makes customer and non-customer calls to ascertain customer service needs, resolve problems, and to sell and cross-sell Bank accounts and services.
  • Directs and administers the loan portfolio of the branch soliciting new loans at every opportunity.
  • Administers and directs all operational functions of the branch including protection of assets and maintenance of facilities within the guidelines set forth. Is accountable for the physical condition of the building inside and out. Is responsible for the general security of the branch, including but not limited to, branch cash limits.
  • Operates as the chief planner for the branch. Prepares and administers the branch profit plan projecting loan and deposit growth. Assists in the establishment and implementation of branch office goals and policies in accordance with the established goals and objectives of the Bank as a whole.
  • Prepares the branch's business development plan and is responsible for results in relation to the overall marketing goals of the Bank. Joins and is active in service clubs and civic organizations. Takes part in any activity which enhances the Bank's image. Analyzes general and local market conditions and makes recommendations to the President on local marketing direction.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

About You

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIREMENTS):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • 5 or more years of retail banking experience.
  • Good knowledge of banking compliance, policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of local market conditions.
  • Has an excellent understanding of banking operational policies and procedures
  • Ability to motivate branch staff to increase sales and cross-sell productivity. Provide consistently high quality customer service and aspire to and achieve high superior performance.
  • Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and control branch operations at all levels.
  • Highly developed sales and customer communication skills as demonstrated by sales leadership.
  • Analytical skills to conduct loan analysis and determine loan needs and qualifications of customers.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Jack Henry systems knowledge.
  • Previous knowledge of MWB products and services.
  • Prior cash handling experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
