Title: Shipping Quality Assurance Coordinator
Location: Charleston, TN

Salary: $75,100 - $102,200
Schedule: 9/80

Focus: Reporting to the Logistics Manufacturing Leader, the Shipping Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing all functions necessary to ensure railcars are maintained within regulatory and internal compliance, which includes the shipping of railcars, vessels suitable for shipment, inspection programs are implemented and maintained, ensuring all documentation is completed and correct, and ensuring the SAP system is maintained correctly. The incumbent also assists in all areas of the Shipping Department as necessary, which could include the minimization of the amount of overtime.

Shipping Quality Assurance Coordinator Essential Responsibilities:

  • Follow all FRA/DOT requirements, maintain necessary certifications, and ensure documentation and equipment accuracy meet regulatory standards.
  • Monitor, track, and update the status of railcars-including maintenance, incidents, and customerrelated issues-and ensure proper resolution.
  • Establish schedules and plans to meet Supply Chain targets while supporting overall area and plant coordination.
  • Work closely with Olin personnel, railcar owners, railroads, and repair facilities to facilitate safe and efficient operations.
  • Serve as backup for the area supervisor and support other plants with best practices related to railcar maintenance and regulatory issues.
  • Maintain shift logbooks, support maintenance projects, uphold ISO/RC and Olin quality standards, and take action to prevent nonconformities.

Shipping Quality Assurance Coordinator Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' manufacturing experience; chemical industry strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to digest and disseminate written information and make numerical calculations sufficiently well to perform assigned general and specific duties and responsibilities.
  • Must have basic computer skills, including Word and Excel, SAP; RailView knowledge is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, and the desire to take ownership of the shipping area
  • Must meet the physical requirements, including climbing stairs and ladders and be able to pass a fit test for full and half-face respirators.
  • Prior Olin experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
