Compensation & Commission Plan Details
- Pay Grade: 9

- Base Pay Range: $26.98 - $33.72 per hour
- Commission Plan: Eligible for monthly commissions based on funded mortgage and home equity loans. Commissions are calculated on loan volume and number of funded units, with additional bonuses for cross-sales.
- Estimated Total Compensation: $50,000 - $130,000+ annually, depending on performance.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted pay grade range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer. FUNCTION: Generates first mortgage loans, home equity loans and lines of credit for Workers which may come through Retail Banking, the Member Information Center or the individuals own contacts. Primary contact for Workers membership for new mortgage products. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Loan Application Management
- Handle first mortgage requests that are originated through our online channel.
- Complete applications can come through the online portal and need to be reviewed for accuracy.
- Incomplete applications may come through the online portal as well, these need to be reviewed and completed in coordination with the borrower/member.
- Handle home equity requests that are originated through our online channel.
- Complete applications can come through the online portal and need to be reviewed for accuracy.
- Incomplete applications may come through the online portal as well, these need to be reviewed and completed in coordination with the borrower/member.
- Also handle applications that may come in through branch or other department referrals.
- Counsel borrowers and explain the types and programs available at Workers. Help borrowers determine the product that meets their needs. Employee must keep themselves up to date on all products available to the membership.
- Complete home loan applications to include all first mortgage products, fixed home equity loans and home equity lines of credit.
- Meet with potential borrowers (by phone, online or in person) to help with first mortgage products, fixed home equity loans and home equity lines of credit.
- Request and obtain all necessary documentation from the borrowers and submit the application in a timely manner.
- Answer incoming calls from members and non-members regarding mortgage and home equity origination.
- Receive, assist and follow up on branch staff and other employee's home equity referrals.
Branch and Community Representation and Networking
- Branches will be covered by all MLAs and new leads will be assigned in a "round-robin" format. MLA can visit branches as needed to support staff or meet borrowers. This is not mandatory for this role.
- As desired, attend outside events, such as realtor board, chamber meetings, and expos. This is not mandatory for this role.
Origination Team Support
- Assign leads that may come in from branches, MIC or online to the appropriate MLA.
- During PTO times for other MLAs help to back-up their files to be sure the membership does not experience any disruption in their service level.
Mandated Licensing Requirement:
- Must or will be registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System ("NMLS") and maintain active status and accurate registration information on file. Provides changes to any individual information (such as an address or name change) as they occur directly into the NMLS system within 20 days of such change.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Three years mortgage related experience; excellent sales abilities; knowledge of all types of residential mortgage loans
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
- Excellent sales abilities; knowledge of all types of home equity products and general knowledge for first mortgage products; and thorough knowledge of loan policy.
- Good mathematical abilities.
