WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Provide oversight to the dietary needs of the Inpatient units at the Mental Health Center

Review and update polices related to the dietary department

Respond to requests for Dietary Assessments within 24 hours of a provider order.

Maintain documentation standards for contact with clients in need of dietary services

Review and approve menus for MHC inpatient setting

Maintain current knowledge of regulations and standards that govern the dietary operations of the MHC inpatient setting

Provide back up to Food Services Specialist.

Other duties as needed

CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION

Note: The classification specification for this role references the dietitian position from the Public Health WIC program because the minimum training and experience requirements align. However, it should be noted that this position is designated specifically for the psychiatric hospital program.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
1. Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science, Community Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field.
2. Two years of professional work experience in public health or nutrition.
3. Registration as a professional dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
4. Certified in dietetics through the State of Wisconsin.
